Garrett Church emigrated to America about 1634. He is found as early as1636 in Watertown records. Admitted as Freeman 2 May 1649 at Watertown.He was admitted to the Watertown Church prior to 2 May 1649. He marriedSarah there in 1637.

Garrett Church was one of the Proprietors of Watertown, Massachusetts in1636. On January 20, 1681 Garrett sold to Oliver Wellington twelve acresin Watertown, the fourth lot in the fourth division and the fifth lot "inthat tract of land." On August 22, 1682 "Garrat Church of Watertown,planter," sold to Samuell Sternes of Watertown four acres of meadow inthat town. On 9 December 1684 Garrett Church of Watertown, planter, soldto John Sherman of Watertown two acres of plowland in the Further Plainin Watertown. On 19 May 1685 Garrett Church of Watertown, planter, soldto Thomas Rice, late of Sudbury, two acres of meadow in Watertown called"Little Cherry Meadow" within "the land called farm land & is boundedwith a farm granted to Bullard"

Born abt 1611 in England. Garrett died in Watertown before 3 Feb1685/1686; he was 74.

Barnabus (or Barnaby) Davis came to America on the Blessing, whicharrived at Boston in August of 1635. Barnabus, age 36, traveled with"Mrs. Susan Davis", age 16. His origin is not identified. He is bound forCharlsetown.

He is listed of Charlestown as early as 1636, and is at the "division ofwood and commons on Mistick side" on 1658. He is in the list ofhouseholders in 1678.

A carpenter, proprietor, 1636-7. He was one of the early proprietors ofLancaster, where his youngest 4 children were probably born.

Lawrence Waters was a Proprietor at Watertown in 1636 and 1637. By hiswife Ann Linton he had six children born there.

A carpenter, he was one of three sent up, in 1645, by the grantees of theNashaway Plantation (later called Lancaster), to make suitablepreparation for their own coming. The proprietors assigned him a lot uponwhich he built a house, probably the second building erected by white menin Lancaster.

The first birth certified to be issued in the town of Lancaster, by RalphHoughton, was that of Joseph, son of Lawrence Waters, April 29, 1647. Thefirst attested death in the town was that of Rachel, infant daughter ofLawrence Waters, in March, 1649.

He planted the intervale between Penacoook and Still Rivers before 1647,a region then included in Lancaster.

On Jun 1, 1655 then of Lancaster, he sold to Robert Harrington, 3parcels of land in Watertown, deed signed 17 Jun 1668. He was aproprietor at Lancaster in 1658.

He became a freeman in 1663. After the massacre of 1676, we find him withhis wife, and Samuel with his wife and two children, seeking shelter inCharlestown, where Stephen became responsible to the authorities forthem. Lawrence Waters was then blind. He died December 9, 1687, inCharlestown, aged about eighty-five years, outliving his wife sevenyears.

Lawrence married Ann LINTON in Sep 1634 in Charlestown, Suffolk, Massachusetts. Ann was born about 1612 in England; died on 6 Feb 1698 in Charlestown, Suffolk, Massachusetts. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
