Notes:

Ralph Farnum, his wife and three children immigrated from England on theJames, which arrived to Massachusetts in September of 1635. He is listedas simply "barber" and bound for Ipswich. Ages listed are 32 (James), 28(Alice), 7 (Mary), 4 (Thomas) and 2 (Ralph, Jr.).

Ralph was a known descendent of Robert de Farnum, a companion of Williamthe Conqueror. The family was seated at Querndon House, Gloucestershire,England, and is in the line of Henry III. Ralph was a Proprietor atIpswich in 1639, and removed to Andover, Mass.

Ralph married Alice UNKNOWN between 1620 and 1627 in Leicester, England. Alice was born about 1607 in Leicester, England; died about 1654 in Ipswich, Essex, Massachusetts; was buried about 1654 in Ipswich, Essex, Massachusetts. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
