Notes:

Henry Haggett was in Salem as early as 1642. He was admitted Freeman in1670. He died at Wenham in 1676, in his 83rd year, leaving a widow andchildren Henry, Moses, Mary, Deliverance, and Hannah, who married in1665, Philip Welsh of Ipswich. Probably another daughter, Abigail,married Sept. 22, 1668, to Thomas Spofford.

Henry married Ann UNKNOWN between 1613 and 1644. Ann was born about 1600 in England; died between 1652 and 1695. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

John Johnson, wife Susan, and children Elizabeth and Thomas immigrated onthe James, which arrived at Boston the last week of September, 1635. Johnorigin is not listed. He is bound for "probably Ipswich", and ages givenare 26, 24, 3, and 1½, respectively.

No other details of their lives are known.

John married Susan MUNTER between 1625 and 1633 in England. Susan was born in 1611 in Herne Hill, Kent, England; died on 12 Sep 1683 in Andover, Essex, Massachusetts; was buried on 16 Sep 1683 in Andover, Essex, Massachusetts. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Notes:

The first record of Launcelot Granger in the new world is in Ipswich,Essex, Massachusetts in 1648, where he leased the farm of Stephen Kent.From there, he removed to Newbury, Mass., where he married on Jan. 4,1653/54 to Joanna, daughter of Robert Adams. In 1679, they removed towhat is now Suffield, connecticut, and he died in 1689.

Launcelot is identified as the father of eleven children, only six ofwhom are with Joanna. The other five children are apparently from aprevious marriage, though his wife's name is not unknown.

There are a few records of the name Granger emigrating to the new world:Joan and Grace Granger were on the Hercules of Sandwich, which sailedfrom England to America and arrived June 3, 1637. They are listed withthe party of Samuel Hall of Canterbury. This could be Launcelot's firstwife and mother (Grace).

Also on the same ship are Stephen Granger, traveling with Jarvis Boyketof Thannington, and Thomas Granger, traveling with Joseph Bachelor ofCanterbury and his family. These are not Launcelot's children, but may benephews. Although I don't know what relation there is between theseGrangers, it is likely that they represent one family, and that theytraveled to the new world very young which is likely why they travelledwith others.

Launcelot married Joanna ADAMS on 4 Jan 1654 in Newbury, Essex, Massachusetts. Joanna (daughter of Robert ADAMS and Eleanor WILMOT) was born in 1634 in England; died on 3 Sep 1689 in Suffield, Hartford, Connecticut; was buried in Sep 1689 in Suffield, Hartford, Connecticut. Notes:

Daniel Poore immigrated with his brother, Samuel and sister, Alice, asservants of Stephen Dummer aboard the ship Bevis of Southampton, whicharrived about August of 1638. Mr. Dummer is listed as "of Bishopstokemcounty Hants, husbandman", and bound for Newbury.

It is likely, therefore, that Daniel lived for a time at Newbury beforesettling in Andover. Mary, his future wife, had arrived in September 1635on the James, traveling with her father Ralph, her mother Alice, and twoyounger brothers. Her family was bound for Ipswich.

Daniel married Mary FARNHAM on 20 Oct 1650 in Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts. Mary (daughter of Ralph FARNHAM and Alice UNKNOWN) was born on 13 Jul 1628 in Southampton, Hampshire, England; died on 3 Feb 1714 in Andover, Essex, Massachusetts; was buried in Feb 1714 in Andover, Essex, Massachusetts.
