  Comfort Starr was paid by the town of Dedham for going to Roxbury to geta nurse for a small pox patient in 1720. In 1723, he owned 1,000 acres of land in Killingly, now part fo Thompson,Connecticut, territory formerly claimed by the Bay Colony. His homesteadwas west of "Brandy Hill".
